I am writing to inform you how frustrated I am with your customer service. I went to your store in Naperville, IL to purchase 2 sets of patio doors. One was a custom order. I paid over $1800.00. I was told I would get a call before the delivery date. I never received a call for one. On Saturday (6/22/19) I had to call your customer service to find out if my order was still coming. When the driver arrived it was only one man. Thank God I could help him unload. I quickly notice the order was incorrect. I said I should have a custom door as well. He of course was unaware and suggested I call the store. I call customer service and they could not find the order with neither the name or phone number? It took talking to a couple of people in order for someone to help me find the order. I was told they noticed they missed the complete order! The other door was still there. I said I have made arrangements to have an installer come Monday and have taken the day off and I need that door. She said she would find out what she could do and call me back in 20 minutes. One hour and a half later I call because I didn't received a call back and I couldn't just wait all day. I was told she didn't think it would be possible. Again, I had arrangements for installation on Monday. I asked to talk to a manager and was put on hold for 30 minutes and I eventually had to hang up and call again! I then was switched around multiple times and finally was able to speak to Tim the manager. I explained my situation to him. He said the delivery company was not picking up the phone but he would do everything he could and call within an hour. I demanded a refund on my delivery charge for the frustration and extra work I was having to go through. He called back within the hour and said it would be delivered Monday between 6-8am with two men to unload the custom door. I got the delivery Monday after 8:00 and again a "one man show", clearly he could not unload the door himself due to the size and weight. Thank god my installers were there to help! How unprofessional is that! First you charge for a delivery then I have to ask my installers to help your driver unload my merchandise! I have never experience such horrible service!!! My installers started to install my standard patio door and I find out they sent the wrong fixed panel on that door!!!!! I am beyond upset and frustrated at this point. Again I call Home depot and ask why they sent me the wrong door? She said it was a mistake and would have someone there within an hour to take the correct door. What an inconvenience at this point. Your "women" driver shows up an hour later and said she can't carry the door, do I have help (for the second time now). My installers have to again carry the correct door and load the wrong door!!!! I have never in my life experienced such frustration and lack of service. This was not a small order and it makes me feel that although I have always used Home Depot for my home projects (and I have more to do) I would think three times before shopping there again. I suggest you re-evaluate your delivery options and customer service if you want customers to continue shopping in your store. This was a total nightmare to deal with.
