Equifax is the most efficient of the 3 credit monitoring bureaus to correct a credit report. Changes can be done by phone immediately. Yesterday I reported that an overdue account report should read 0 balance. Equifax phoned the bank that day, which confirmed. Today I phoned Equifax and they said the account no longer appears on my record, it has been deleted as being potentially adverse. And they are mailing me a free, updated Equifax credit report.
Terrible customer service. Been trying to solve my problem for the last month. Faxed my info in 5 or 6 times. Still hasn't been received.
I have been trying to get a live person on the phone for over 3 days, placing at least 25 calls per day, and calling any number I can find listed for them. This might be the worst example of customer service I have ever seen.
