I went to your store in Sahuarita Az. I purchased a master card gift card, went I went to use it I was told none of the money was on the card and to return to the store. So that is exactly what I did,( I got this advice from the Frys gas station). At the store I was told no refunds. They did not look at my information. They did not explain that it could take 24 hours to get the money on the card, I was not told who to call, simply no refunds. They could call a manager but I would be told the same thing. So I went home and called back to speak with the store manager. Then I was told if I did not tell them what my call was about I could not speak to a manager, when I pushed I was told no manager was there. I have worked in the grocery business for 29 years. I know someone in Management was in the store. I have still not gotten my money on the card, but have talked to the proper corporation. Poor service, i was dismissed and have no plans on returning. The customer service employee was Adriana, not sure the name of the first person.
About 99.9% of my interactions with Fry’s employees has been very good or better. But today I especially want to shout out to the staff in their 2858 N. Pinal Ave, Casa Grande location (corner of McCartney Rd): after a small back area fire that caused us to be evacuated for an extended time everyone there went out of their way to help me after I had to leave an almost full cart (with some personal items too) behind. When I returned after the store reopened: A manager - who had already checked out for the day - had to go searching in all the cooler areas to find the cart and the check out person at the self check area was a doll. Honestly you’d never know there was a previous problem as all the staff were calm and as wonderful as in the past. It’s no mystery why I always shop there!!!!!!!!
I love Fry's in Sierra Vista! I have shopped there 7 years...yesterday I made a special trip to get the chicken special, buy one get two free...Foster Farms, breasts, tenders or thighs, as stated in the ad....got my 3 packs of breasts but they did not subtract on the register...a manager came and said I got the wrong packages...I said Foster Farms and he said no, you needed ones smaller or something to that effect. I kept the chicken but lost $23 on the total order...if you need more details please email me. I have the receipt
This email is for Stephen M McKinney. I am not sure where to start about this complaint to you at the corporate level or contact the office of the state of Arizona. It started with writing a check for about twenty some dollar for groceries at the Fry store at 4440 E Main St in Mesa AZ. My wife and I spend 6 months a year in our hometown of Kansas City, MO and the winter months (6 months) in Mesa AZ at Mesa Regal RV Park two blocks away. We wrote a check out for groceries and our out of state check went through with no problems. The very next week we went in a bought about thirty dollars worth of groceries and was told they could not honor the check. We left very upset and talked to people at Mesa Regal and decided to open a local checking account with our Mesa Az address which we did. Went back to Fry's on Main St got about twenty dollar worth of groceries and checked out and again was told they could not except the Wells Fargo check from the Mesa Az bank. I was very upset and asked for the manager. We received an assistant female manager who was not very people oriented and said they could not except the check because it would not go though. Asked why and she said I would need to call the credit check company to find out why. I explained that her store denied it not the credit company. She the yelled out to our cashier checker
let me have the black book in front of the other customers and as if we did not know what that book was, she could not find our name in it and was really pissed off at that moment and told us to call that 800 # for answer to why credit company would not OK cashing our check even though it previously was cashed for groceries. I asked her for the manager and was told I had to deal with her. she gave me corporate office number and was told to call them if I had an issue with her or the store. We did eventually contact the credit company that store uses and was put in contact with a rep after a 45 minute wait and was told it is up to that grocery story explain why it was denied and to except the check or deny it. Also when I asked the assistant manager what her name was, she pointed to her name tag and said can't you read. Your store there has a real winner with an assistant manager. Also, Mesa Regal had no problem cashing our U.S, Government Employees Credit Union Check for $25,000.00. Also Safeway store and Wal-mart had no problems with either checking accounts we used. Your store we really thought highly of and was very close and convenient for us to go to but you guy's didn't want to cash our checks. WHY? My wife and I would like to know how come I out of state check was cashed once (the first Time) and not the next two times, and why you have a nasty I don't care Assistant Manager. Also, the credit union Alaskan Credit Union in that store is also associated with our credit union here in Kansas and Missouri for savings and checking. So again, my wife and I are requesting a response as to why our local home checks or the local AZ Wells Fargo checks are not honored by this grocery store. I will be waiting for a reply from your corporate office as soon as possible. Yours truly, Michael And Cindy York. My home phone # is (816)623-3372 or better yet my cell phone # is (816)585-6767.
