Up until a week ago I worked for the great dane plant in jonesboro Ar for the last six years.I quit.I was tired of not being appreciated.I was tired of being taken advantage of.I worked in the weld shop as a welder making $24 a hour but as of recently another employee received welders pay also & he was not or never has been a welder.He was also a lead person so he got extra pay for that too.So even though I had worked at the plant longer than him,he made more money than me
So I was doing all the welding,the heavy pushing & pulling (because the conveyor type rollers we had were junk & it was heavy & hard to pull them) he was getting paid more than me & I was doing the work.He is not the only employee that is receiving pay & not doing the job there are several.They can not keep up with the point system.It is all messed up.I was tired of them deciding on who got points & when.In 2020 I had surgery & it went wrong so I was sick off & on for about a year & a half.I took fmla,short term disability,long term disability (which was a nightmare) metlife sucks.When all that was over with I still missed some days due to my illness but those counted against me.90% of my absences was due to that but I had doctors excuses for almost every absence.Then this last week I was sick all week but i had an excuse but they tell me Im out of points & they will have to discuss it.I said okay but then got to thinking that was not fair because they let a girl quit for a week in a half & then let her come back,then she still had vacation days after that.I was tired of them having favorites.I had worked in the doors department many,many times.Every time someone didnt want to work,everytime someone didnt show up.There were days that I have worked on my line all day & we get our numbers & then I was made to go to the doors department & stay late because they were not finished.Then when the lead position became available I was not even considered.You can not move up in this plant & especially if you are not a friend of certain people.
