went into a City Gear 410 Bel Air Blvd. Suite 52 Mobile Al 36606 On Mothers Day Sunday May 8,2022 between 5:15pm&5:30pm to purchase a pair of shoes before going to eat dinner. With very little womens shoes to choose from i settled on a white pair of air force 1 shadows. The sales man went to the back and came out with a box under his arm heading up to the register, i asked if i could try the shoes on, he said i dont have one like this but you can try this one on he then grabbed from the display an air force one. I tried it on it fit so i purchased the air force one shadows for $120 +tax that i couldnt try on and headed out the door got in my truck and left. As we are going down the road i relize the shoes are a half size to big so we immediately turn around and take them back to the same store i jst bought them from. My boyfriend goes in to return the shoes and comes out to tell me they dont give refunds only credit. I go in the store myself and asked ya ll dont give refunds the employee tells me no i said well you coulda told me that he then says there are signs i look up and ask where the employee then says its on ur receipt. The receipt i get after i have already paid for the shoes. By this time im late for dinner and frustrated and out of $130 + tax i take the gift card and leave. The next day i call and am told that there is a no refunds on the receipt i get after i purchase the shoes and on their website that i dont look at..it was a spur of the moment purchase that i didnt go on the website to purchase. I start looking on the website daily for shoes and find and order a pair of reeboks and nikes. I then immediately cancel the order due to a discount that i was supposed to get but didnt. They refund my credit on one digital gift card. I then reorder the same 2 pairs of shoes. When i receive them i take them out and immediately i dont like them so i put them back in the box and got the return labels emailed to me..2 different return labels addressed to two different places. I send the shoes back. I then get 2 different digital gift cards emailed to me one for the amount of the reeboks and one for the amount of the nikes. I continue to look on the website daily for shoes i finally found some on or around october 20th 2022 for $80 something dollars and get all the way to cash out where there is only one place for a gift card..so i call they send me to store support who sends me to online support where i ask how do i use two different gift cards on one order? I am told i cant. So I explained from the beginning my situation and asked can they combine the gift cards and am told no they cant do that either..so now i have 3 gift cards one for the amount of the reeboks one fir the amount of the nikes and one with the remainder of what i didnt use off my first gift card. So now what do i do??? I am very very irritated and extremely upset..this is ridiculous its time consuming and un called for..after all who doesnt give refunds these days especially if u walk back in the store to return the shoes within 10 mins after walking out the store?
I just want to be able to buy a pair of shoes!!
I know it’s the holidays. I called the Hibbit Sports in South Boston Va. to ask a question. Before I could get my question out the lady told me that she had a store full of people and I see you when you get here and hung up. Her tone was very rude. Didn’t appreciate the way I spoken too. I will not stop shopping at Hibbits but I will not shop at South Boston Va. branch. I work customer service and I know it can be overwhelming doing the holidays but you still need to be polite to all your customers.
