Ashley furniture has poor management customer service

To them is making a sale getting paid They don’t care if you receive your merchandise in good condition and on time To them as just getting a sale getting paid and the heck with the rest this will be my last time I will purchase anything from Ashley‘s furniture store I do not recommend anyone buying from the store they are just a bunch of liars and basically ripping you off ...

I understand COVID, but we ordered furniture in March from Ashley Home Store in Winchester, VA. When I called in May, I was told, June. In June I was told July, and two night stands were delivered in July. I am still missing a desk, and when I call, they put me on hold, just today for over 2 hours on one phone, and answered the other phone, put me on hold again. I have been making payments on all this furniture since March. I am going by the store tonite and filing a BBB complaint. If I don't get this resolved tonite, an attorney will starting tomorrow....BEWARE!!!!!!!DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE!!!!!

I went in the Manassas Virginia store to order my furniture on June 6th. I told the sales associate that I moved on June 26th, I expressed how important it was to receive my furniture by then. I was promised that week or the following. I told them I would pick up my items myself so that I would not be charged the $199 delivery fee. You have to call them they do not call you when the furniture arrives. I called June 21st and was told I can go to Fredericksburg (the distribution center) and get two chairs from my table I ordered but that everything else had not arrived yet. I kept calling every other day to see when I can drive down there to pick up all the items, eventually I am told by July 15th it would all arrive. I called on July 10th and was told the sofa and dining room table were available but not the love seat. I went and picked up those items. Here it is July 16th and someone finally answered at the store and now I am being told there is a problem with the upholstery on the love seat and it will not be available until the end of July or first week of August. I am very dissatisfied with the lack of care from this company. Had I taken the time to read the reviews I would have never given this company a dime of my hard earned money. I went through the hassle of making the decision to pick up my own items so that I would guarantee to receive them in a timely manner only to still go through the hassle of still not having any furniture a month after I have moved in. After spending all of this money I do not believe a company would treat you this way. I will never give them another dime.

I had the opportunity to visit the Ashley Furniture Store and Ashley Furniture Outlet located here in Fredericksburg Virginia July 2, 2020. It was my worse experience ever. I am a Black female who wore workout clothes visiting the stores. The first store I went to was; 1845 Carl D Silver Pkwy. When I entered the store I was greeted by the Store Manager and I told him I would like to first see his clearance items and sales items. I proceeded to inform him that I am looking for beds as well. The manager informed me that he sends all of his clearance and sales items to the outlet store even though I noticed there was a sign on the outside window of the store saying that they have up to 60% off. He pointed to where his beds are and I asked “Those beds are not on sale, they are just regular price?” He responded, Yes, but I can go take a look if I like. I knew something was not right about that statement, but he gave me the information to the outlet store. As I was leaving the store I notice a white couple leaving the store with their daughter holding a yellow balloon smiling and happy. I went to my car and pulled up the website of Ashley Furniture and saw all the sales they had. I thought well maybe they do send all sale items to one location now. I was still excited to proceed to their Outlet Store located; 9721 Jefferson Davis Hwy. I knew it was getting late but I wanted to get a quick overview on what they had to offer because I wanted to find all that would fit my needs for me and my family. I arrived and entered the location at 8:42pm and I knew they closed at 9:00pm. When I went in I was not greeted but I noticed there was about three employees working at the time. One employee, later that I found out was the Manager Mr. Charlie, was working with a white lady and her child helping them. I proceeded to the back and I found the mattresses. I noticed an employee working with a white couple in the same area I was looking around in. Not one time the employee greeted me to say hello, I will be with you in a moment after I am finished with my customer or anything. I walked around the whole entire section of the mattresses and I knew he saw me. He continued to sit on the beds with the other people, he looked at me and proceeded with his customers. I left the area and started looking at other furniture that I was interested in with no help. I proceeded to look behind signs to see sizes and prices. I noticed two other employees working at the computer area of the store and I assumed they were looking up something for a customer but I only saw the other white lady and her child. Still no help. I continue to find other items I liked, took pictures of the items and their prices. Still nobody would help me or acknowledge me even in the store. I circled the entire store over two times, sat in different areas where I can be seen to wait for someone to help me. The employee in the mattress area would still ignore me. I sat over one section over to the mattresses where the tables were waiting for him. He looked at me and continued his conversation with the white couple. The store has closed at this point and it was 9:26pm. I was able to watch the same employee walk the white couple to the door and still would not acknowledge me. The three employees where talking at the front desk among themselves and still nothing. I felt humiliated, hurt, thanking God I did not bring my kids so they can see this. I was going to just walk out with tears in my eyes but I found enough courage to speak up. I walked over towards the front sales desk asking to speak to the manager as I noticed him walking towards me to say hello. I wanted to cry with hurt and humiliation in my heart. At this point it was 9:30pm after store was closed Mr. Charlie greeted me and noticed I was trying to get some help. I told him what happened and he apologized on my experience there at the store. He proceeded to tell me he will “talk” to his employees about the matter. He said he will offer free delivery for my inconvenience. While speaking to him I was feeling more and more upset and in tears. I felt dumb, embarrassed, I felt I did not deserved to be helped and again over all humiliated. I left the store in tears. Later, I noticed they offer free delivery anyways. 🙄 Look how stupid I am.😥 I am sending my story to all to hear and know how Ashley Furniture treat customers like me. All I wanted was beds, mattresses, dresser, desks for my kids for online learning, and possibly a living room set but I guess I did not look a par to be able to receive the help I needed. I am speaking out for myself and our black community. This was wrong. You need to watch the recording of cameras in your stores to see what happened. I am speaking up!!! Enough is enough!!! Black Lives Matter!!!! This will not be the end of my story of Me and the Ashley Furniture Store! I am sending this to my local paper and news to demand a change!!

Trying to get an answer to see if our special order is done and they take me to a website to pay a dollar. I already paid over a thousand for the furniture and you want me to pay a dollar just to get an answer as to where my furniture is? NEVER AGAIN. too many choices to be dealing with that!

COVID or not. Extremely poor customer service. Ordered a table for my wife. Recv damaged. No one responding and very rude when they do. Waited over 90 minutes on hold 2x these past 3 days. Still did not get a response. I was told UPS would be contacting me in 48 hours and they cannot ship a replacement until the product is picked up by UPS. Will NEVER purchase from Ashley again!!

very upset. ordered a living room sectional and childrens dresser on 5-19-19 and was told it would get to warehouse on 5-27 and I can have it delivered by 6-8, which is when I needed it. Was told today that the living set won't be in until 6-14 this is unacceptable. They shouldn't have lied to me just to sell me the set. I will never purchase anything from this store again. Now i'm left without living room furniture for a few weeks and without a place to put my sons clothes.
