Bed Bath & Beyond history
In 1971, Warren Eisenberg and Leonard Feinstein opened a store in Springfield, New Jersey called Bed ‘n Bath. By 1985, Eisenberg and Feinstein were operating 17 stores in the New York metropolitan area and California. Also in 1985, the first superstore was opened, as an attempt to remain competitive with Linens ‘n Things, Pacific Linen, and Luxury Linens. In order to properly represent the size increase in its retail stores, the company changed its name to Bed Bath & Beyond.

I've shopped at B B & B for years and always been happy with their products and service. I recently submitted an application for employment with this company and received an email in return asking me to fill out a survey for their tax record reporting to the government. This survey required me to enter my social security number on the survey company's website. Has B B & B been hiding under a rock for the last 10 years, every time another so-called "secure" website has been hacked and people's information stolen??? How can they require such a RIDUCULOUS survey to be completed in order to be considered for employment?? I have applied to several companies for employment recently and NONE OF THEM have required such personal information be entered over the web!!! Human Resources, you should rethink your processes!!!!!
Becuz of the historical time line of this matter I am requesting for a exstincive investigation on this. In 2009- 2010, I had a investment of $700 rolled over from a prevoius employer (Ser Metro of Detroit) I don't recall if roll over was an 401k, or either an IRA. The fact is I did file a change of address while in the process of moving to Toledo,OH in 2010, since I have'nt received any type of correspondance pertianing to this investment at all. Throughout this period I have a made a few attempts to correspond with the B&B corp.
after a "flat responce of they have no record that investment. & my explaination is that I lost my last financial statement from that particular time period in process of moving. I am thankful for this opprotunity to put the subject back on the table for investiation by the B & B corp.within finanical affairs / invedtments dept. Thank you.

Bed Bath and Beyond Newburgh, NY store #829 should be ashamed of themselves. My 4 year old autistic nephew was crying in the store so my sister escorted him out and the two cashiers at the customer service desk thought it was funny and made fun of him. I went back to to talk to the manager who basically made the situation worse. One of cashier actually threw a pen at me and put her hands in my face. I will never shop in this store again!! I am so upset by this and they will definitely be hearing from me. How can they discriminate against a four year old. They should be embarrassed!! This is unacceptable bed bath & beyond!!
The manager, Charles, at the Daytona Beach store is horrible. He is rude, ignorant and if you are trying to return something, he is horrible. He treated my daughter and I like criminals. While we were ther, he was actively arguing with another customer.
VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
The company and its atmosphere is pretty decent. Good communication is available, as well as good attitudes.
Customer service sucks, They have to improve their service.
