My husband died and I have been trying to get our joint account changed into an individual account. I've waited on the phone for hours unable to speak to anyone and have emailed but have gotten no help. All the required materials (death certificate, application, etc.) I sent were received (per tracking) by Etrade on May 5. I have been trying to find out the status of my account since the end of May. Since I continue to get statements for the joint account, I guess ETrade would rather deal with a dead man
The customer service is top-notch, but facility is dated, dark, and claustrophobic. The staff were high-energy, helpful and very knowledgeable.
Excellent service and they provide me with everything I need/ want to know about investing.
