Amazing Customer Support

 by Zak

Like Stewart below, I also had a poor experience with Collin. He wouldn't give me a straight answer on a simple question, and when pressed, hung up on me mid-sentence. I called back and asked to be transferred to a supervisor, but that agent wouldn't transfer me and offered to take a message. Believe it or not, I haven't heard back. S&W is a joke.

 by Stewart Anshell

Customer Service and Warranty Service are absolutely terrible. Rude and uninformed. Everytime I call (4x) I get a different agent each of whom have a different time frame for repairs. Originally it was 3-4 weeks. Called Friday and talked with an agent (rude male) who said 5-6 weeks. He said he was transferring me to a manager, but call went back to call center and a woman rep told me it was 8-10 weeks. Asked to speak with her supervisor, left a voice message for "Kate" and never got a call back. Today I called and spoke with Collin who told me repairs are taking 3-4 weeks. After I told him my gun has been there for 6 weeks he had no response. Transferred me to his manager, "Paul" again not in or available and left a voice message. Smith and Wesson has the worst customer service I have experienced in my 15 years in this hobby.
My S&W Model 41 Performance (a $1500) gun failed to reassemble after 3 weeks. NO QUALITY CONTROL, NO CUSTOMER CARE, NOTHING, TAKE MY MONEY AND RUN! S&W LIES and SUCKS! Buyers BEWARE!

Really disappointed in my purchase. After much research I decided to go with the SW 41 Performance Center.22. Reviews were definitely misleading. From the very first time at the range the pistol did not function properly. I would’ve thought a Performance Center would go through rigorous testing before leaving the factory to ensure the firearm functioned properly. Called customer service and was dealt with extremely well. Sent a return slip within 10 minutes after getting off call. It’s been 10 days since receiving notice the pistol arrived for repairs. So I called customer service today and was highly disappointed in the call. The representative told me they gun was received about 10 days ago and I’m looking at another 6-8 weeks. She could tell me anything else regarding my gun. I asked if was in the Performance Center shop and would I get any notification as to the problem. Your rep told me I would receive an email with a tracking number when shipped. Inside would be a description as to the problem. Terrible customer service! I called the store to see if I could return the pistol for a refund. Answer was no….what I expected. So, I will have a refurbished pistol instead of a new one. I expected more for the $1550 I paid. This will be my last Smith and Wesson firearm. Hindsight I should have purchased a Volquartson.

I bought a model 17 22lr about 6 months ago. The trigger was sketchy on single action so called customer service to see if I could send the firearm in for trigger work. I was encouraged to send it in so I did and included a note stating that I was willing to pay for gunsmithing if necessary. This was November of 2020. What followed was nothing short of bazaar. In December I called to see what the status was of my revolver and no one knew. After a long hold I was told it was at the performance center waiting evaluation. I received a quote in the mail with no amount so I called again for an explanation. I was told they were waiting for approval from me so I promptly gave my permission to perform the work on the revolver and was told that it would not cost anything. A little slow but so far so good. After not hearing anything for weeks I called again for a status report. I was told the performance center was waiting for my approval to perform the work. Yes. That's right!! This is not a typo. I promptly gave permission to start/complete the work again. After several more weeks I called for a status update. I was told by customer service that they did not know where the revolver was but that someone would call me back that day. No call back! At this point I was considering calling BATF to report the revolver lost or stolen but called one more time to customer service. A very nice young lady named Natalia could not find my revolver. At this point I asked to talk to her supervisor who could not come to the phone. I was told that I would get a call back that day or the next for sure. She could not explain why my revolver had been at their facility for FIVE months or tell me where it was. Well by now you can guess no one called me back. In five months no one took the time to call me and explain anything. Two days ago the revolver shows up via Fed EX. The box the revolver was in was so dirty I could write my initials in it FIVE months later!!

You cant get past customer service with an issue. P remillard doesnt return calls or emails. Cant get above him with a complaint. Write a letter they say! It goes back to customer service..fixing a problem is ignoring it. To go away ..i so regret this purchase. S &W . Never again.past good quality only carries you so long . Dan farmer.

Smith's Shield 2.0 with green laser Bought last year ... never fired to date

7-28-20. The ejection slide is to hard to rack. If you have to rack and do anything it is far to stiff to slide easily. Obviously Smith knew about this issue and came out with the Smith Easy. This compensated for the hard slide. This is not my first Smith & Wesson, my first was my police issue from the department. This will be my last Smith after the basically "tough" when I asked about fixing the issue; I was told by "Felicia" this was not a Mfg. issue.

I purchased a SW99 45acp a few years ago but rarely used due to the back that amo gets lodged between the barrel and internal slide. I have fired it four times and after the second shot the amo gets lodged and I have had to take it to a gun smith to remove it. Drury's of san Antonio Texas is where I purchased and all for gun smith have performed this service for free. Drury's fire several types of ammunition through it and all lodged after the second shot except for Fiocchi 45 auto. I personally have fired four times with bad results. I enjoy the few times I have used but its gone unused for several years. My question is there a defect in the gun and if so what is the remedy. I contacted Walther and the referred me to Smith and Wesson. Help!

Thanks

Andy
