West was founded in 1996 by Clive Beddoe and a team of like-minded partners, who believed that just because you pay less for your flight, doesn’t mean you should get less.
Armed with that philosophy, three aircraft, five destinations and 220 friendly WestJetters, we began our journey — a journey that would help us become a company of more than 12,000 passionate WestJetters flying our fleet of Boeing 737 Next-Generation aircraft to more than 100 destinations across our network. Our continued efforts toward responsible growth consider our impact to the environment, to the communities where we fly and to and the people we reach on a daily basis.

Great airline and likely the best in nation when you see what limited options we have; however I think the decision to swap 737 for Q400 planes on heavy routes like YVR to YLW was a mistake. The Q400 is basically useless if there is low cloud cover, which describes canadian winter in many destinations. It’s puzzling when all WJ birds are grounded while AC is somehow getting it done with a comparable local fleet.
Easily found with the help of google maps. What an awesome structure, it is like a huge sculpture. Corporate offices of WestJet, I was very fortunate to attend a function here. The solarium is well lit, with a Starbucks shop on site.
